Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 small green bell pepper, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
hamburger buns

Instructions

Brown the onions and green peppers with ground beef in a large skillet or dutch oven over medium heat until the meat is cooked through and vegetables are soft. Drain the meat and return to pan.
Over medium-low heat, add the garlic powder, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, and soy sauce and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
Serve on soft hamburger buns.
