Easiest One-Pot Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

2 cups whole milk
2 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 (16-ounce) box macaroni
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

In a deep skillet or Dutch oven, stir the milk, water, and salt together over medium-high heat. Stir in the uncooked macaroni and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring very frequently, for about 8 minutes or until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
Turn off the heat and stir in the cheese. Stir until melted. Serve immediately.

Notes

While you can certainly use pre-shredded bag cheese, shredding your own will yield a much better texture.

This recipe halves perfectly if you don't need so much.
